“Check-in was a little odd. We were expected to drive 5 minutes to pick up room keys. Staff at the attached restaurant were very helpful, and since we were on snowmobiles, drove to get the room keys for us. We were on the 2nd floor and getting to our rooms from the exterior was very treachorous due snow not being cleared. The room was nothing speacial and we soon discovered there was an interior entrance to our rooms. Due to fact there was no hotel staff onsite, we weren't made aware of this, and...

“This is a warm and welcoming family. The hosts are very kind, and the elderly gentleman’s eyes and words are full of wisdom. It was a delightful conversation with them, and the breakfast was delicious—the best French toast I’ve ever had. The house has a long history, but it is clean and well-maintained. The surroundings are peaceful, far from the hustle and bustle of the city, and I had a restful night’s sleep. It was a wonderful experience.”
