I really wanted to love this place. It is just steps away from my favorite beach. Between buckling flooring and holes in the cabinets it’s just felt run down. The beds and rooms were clean but it needs some work. Parking was also an issue if you have anything other than a small car you will not fit in the parking garage which is a block away. Again I wanted to love it but we were disappointed.

Could not get the TV to work. Porch lights are on all night. The curtains do not block it out all the way. Lots of stairs, be prepared for that. Otherwise, the location is fantastic. And even though we didn't use the beach towels and chairs, it was nice to know that we could.

The best thing was the view! ☀️and we had good weather. The room was clean but needed some touch-up paint. Our coffee was only regular (no decaf) but when we needed more supplies the “desk” at Sea Horse resort didn’t have clue where we could get what we needed. (As a side note she delivered expired packets) Something to really consider is the noise of the trains coming and going. It was noticeable but not a dealbreaker. We will stay again but these are things to consider. A trolley stop is in front of the hotel. Great parking.

Location is great but other than that, you need to be okay with everything in the room being old and worn out, the bathtub is giving in underneath, and I found a used coffee bag still inside my coffee maker which shows they do not clean well. Bed is very comfy though.

Things we liked 1. Close proximity to Pier & beach area 2. Common area balcony, tables & chairs OK, sofa was worn out Things we didn't like 1. There's 1 window in entire unit and it would not open 2. No WIFI - listed as "Internet" in Expedia profile, each day we were promised it would be fixed. Each day we were disappointed. It was never fixed. 3. No TV ("40-inch TVs with cable channels") - likely tied to internet outage. 4. Sofa was incredibly worn-out and uncomfortable 5. Room in general was worn-out/beat-up

You can't get much better for being directly across from San Clemente pier. There's a variety of restaurants directly below the hotel and all you have to do is walk across the street to get to the beach. The hotel will provide beach chairs and towels. Everything was wonderful!

Picked this place based on the price and great views. We were glad we only had one night here. It is greatly in need of renovation. The bathroom set up was strange and jets in tub didn’t work. You can tell the shower above jetted tub was an after thought. Room was clean but very outdated. The train does go by often but wasn’t really a bother when trying to sleep. A great location right across from pier.
