"In all honesty, I was kind of worried about booking here due to the past reviews I’ve seen. I can say this is a “pay what you get hotel” but overall the room was clean, staff was very friendly and there is a continental breakfast, which you can never beat! 10/10 would stay here again because it was decent for the price and only 15 minutes away from the beach and other local activities. Only thing I would recommend to fellow visitors/owner is wear shoes/sandals in the bathroom due to the renovations and tile fixing, there are still sharp edges and wouldn’t want anyone getting hurt! "

"Great location in Hillcrest for all the LGBT bars/clubs/restaurants. They are still renovating some sections. Hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating! The beds and pillows are SOO comfortable and clean!! Great stay for the price."

"The hotel is absolutely stunning, it was my boyfriend as I’s anniversary and the hotel staff was very kind and gave us a complementary champagne bottle! The valet parking was worth it and the staff are super helpful as well and respond fast to any questions you have. I loved and enjoyed our stay at the Lafayette hotel."
