This hotel was 'ok' - although I can see it has a lot of potential - very recently acquired and still in the middle of being renovated by the new and very friendly owners. Location is great and for the price, it was a good stay. But no TV in the rooms, no chance to leave bags so had to pay $30 for an early check in because front desk wouldn't be staffed after 5pm, no indication of which was soap, shampoo, conditioner in the bathroom, no plug close enough to a mirror to use the hairdryer. But overall I'll give it another chance IF the exceptionally reasonable price point remains even close to what it was this time around.

Basic spacious room in a good location in SF. Staff was friendly and helpful and stored our luggage for the day.

I would strongly recommend not staying here. I booked and paid through Expedia, but the hotel later contacted me trying to charge additional fees. When I arrived around 8 PM, the lobby door was locked. I was only able to get inside because other guests who were also having check-in issues let me in. There was no staff present, so I couldn’t check in or access my room. Eventually an employee showed up and was able to get me into a room. After that, I couldn’t re-enter the building because I never received the email with the QR code required to unlock the front door. The final issue happened the next morning at 9 AM, when two employees entered my room without knocking. When they saw me inside, they simply walked out without saying anything. Overall, this was a very frustrating experience with poor communication and a lack of basic guest privacy.

I understood prior to staying here that staff availability would be limited due to this place being more like an airbnb. That being said it does not negate the fact that there were many things that are basic that were not available at hand. An ice machine, regular cleaning staff, a working emergency number not just an answering machine, tv, a refrigerator, or even a mat for the shower so you don't slip. The last one may seem a petty thing to complain about, but the combination shower tub is porcelain and very slippery. I ended up falling backwards out of the tub and landed on my behind. I ended up getting a nasty bruise. The rooms could be cleaner, I found numerous stains on the bedding and the bed was not so comfortable, felt like sleeping on an inflatable mattress. I found some staff to be standoffish when asking questions or for help. If you do come here just be aware that you might have to figure some stuff for yourself. Oh, and do not lose your key, no one will be around to replace it or let you in your room if you lose it.

Hotel was clean, lobby was nice, staff was friendly for the most part but the room was not cleaned for two days, had to ask for towels/ tissue because room wasn’t cleaned… no tv , no where to park. Had to park across the street in a garage and pay $45 each night . Had I known there was no parking/ no tv/ no microwave / no breakfast I would’ve NEVER booked this hotel. Will never return for those reasons .

I would give this hotel one step up from a hostel, but I've actually stayed in a nicer hostel. The location is great, right in the middle of different parts of San Francisco, made it very easy to walk everywhere. The carpet was stained and the bathroom felt like a jail cell. Other then the big window brightening up the room the room felt meh. the big highlight was the bed. the bed was SUPER comfy. The staff was very nice as well.

Don’t make a mistake booking this hotel. You will not get any value for your money. Pay a little extra for a 3.5 or 4 stars hotel. This is definitely not a new hotel—it was probably revamped from a shopping mall to a hotel or something. The place is very old The most annoying thing was that there was no receptionist, security nor staff to attend to us. No breakfast, no amenities. We booked two rooms for two nights (feb 11-Feb 13 2026 (rooms 211 & 216)) and could not have our bath on the first night because the hotel showerhead was not working. Immediately after we checked-in and entered our room, We tried to contact the reception to help with the water but couldn’t reach anyone. We tried to contact via Expedia (on the 12th) but did not get a response. Expedia’s customer support also tried but couldn’t reach them. We ended up having to leave the hotel on the second day (12th) without staying the night to book a 4star hotel close by (because we couldn’t go another night without taking a shower). On our second day, Feb 12 between 4pm and 9pm, we met three other separate guests who had paid for their rooms but were unable to check-in because of a lack of receptionist. (At past 8pm they had not even entered their room yet!) We left around 9pm on feb 12th after trying unsuccessfully to resolve our issues. I believe the 5 star reviews on this hotel is a scam because there is no way we (the four guests) who tried to lodge yesterday would give this anything but a one star review.

Old hotel. Toilet flush wont work until I opened the water tank and lift up the lever. They are supposed to refund me for one day and they keep saying it will happen today. I have been calling them everyday and they keep saying the same thing. Still havent refunded me the money.

No woman or family should stay here. It was absolutely creepy. It felt like an abandoned hotel with rooms that are partially destroyed. The vibe is scary and there is definitely a safety concern. I can look past the dirtiness of smeared walls, look past no tv, micro, fridge, or soap/shampoo but it felt like something bad could happen here. There was a tiny window in the bathroom that opened into a boarded up room in total darkness except for painted over windows. Some rooms left open were abandoned with the remnants of property left by previous inhabitants. Don’t go into the basement.
