Well worth the small upgrade fee to be facing South and enjoy the same view that the vines enjoy all year round. “We loved our four-night stay at B&B Al Carotin. Julio is super friendly and always at hand. The property has balconies overlooking the valley and mountains, and it was so relaxing just to sit out on the balcony, drink in the views, and let your shoulders drop. We took a day trip to Tirano and took the train up to Switzerland, which is the same line as the Bernina Express. We had a couple of very enjoyable days by the lake. We'd love to come back.”

“quite a long walk from train station ( 1 km) no taxis! but pretty well the closest. bar is also reception (which was great as I was desperate for a beer after bus substituted for train! efficient small lift, comfortable room with large comfy bed & plenty of electric plugs. quiet in room despite it being a Saturday, although restaurant full with waiting list. great well priced Italian meal (despite being promoted as Sushi - which was available -after a fashion)! slept well. Owner opened breakfast...

“We can’t recommend more highly Case dei Baff!! A must stay! The grounds are stunning and serene. Corrado and his family were incredibly welcoming and lovely. The food at their restaurant, from the cheese to the wine to the meat, are all sourced from their farm and vineyard. Our meal there was spectacular and unforgettable! We were grateful to be able to take home some of their wine and cheese with us. We only wish we could have stayed longer! Thank you!”
