“Cacaobetulia is an amazing experience. A working organic cacao plantation in a spectacular setting with comfortable, spotless rooms, excellent meals, a salt water pool, and lovely gardens filled with birdlife. But the real treasure is learning about cacao. Walks through the groves, a visit to the nursery and composting, roasting and shelling the cacao, grinding the nibs…the entire process through to making candies. Our only regret was we couldn’t stay even longer!”

“This place is a mixed bag. The staff service is excellent. The food in the restaurant is excellent. 5 stars for the staff and service. They went above and beyond to make sure our stay was as nice as possible. The rooms are bare bones. Our room had no place to hang things or to place your suitecase. No soap for the sink. The shower flooded the bathroom due to poor design. And a generator in the room next door was grinding until 2:00 am! My daughter's room flooded when it rained. The property and...
