"The hotel is right next to the smokers casino so the aroma was HEAVY and thick walking to reception. I didn't get to check out the gym but there's a very small 'pool' on the main floor. Not too much to say about this hotel to be honest; no special products in the bathroom, no special views, no breakfast onsite, etc. There is 'VIP' parking though. It's an okay stay if for a night or two for gamblers. "

"Room was clean, except we had to request for the air conditioner to be adjusted because we had no heat. They did exchanged the air conditioner unit but still didn't work. We chose not to move from that room because to much to move. It was only one more night. Overall it was good."

"The Marriot Providence is a very nice place to stay. Gratis afternoon wine and apps and morning coffee in lobby an added plus. Staff helpful and Blue Fin restaurant were ex- ceptional. Only complaint was some difficulty accessing internet in our room which caused me to access an important voice message on my phone. All in all recommend! "

"Canceled my reservation an hour after check-in while I was already 2.5 hours into a 3.5 hour drive for my daughter’s Nationals competition. I booked months in advance through Expedia. They claimed they were short staffed and overbooked. The manager, was unapologetic and told me to “book somewhere else.” When I explained we were traveling with a baby and were one hour away, he threatened to hang up on me for “yelling” when I was simply upset. Another parent from our team arrived and was told the same thing. She also said the property looked rundown, smelled like cigarettes, and had panhandlers outside. Canceling reservations last minute after check-in time is completely unprofessional. The lack of accountability and customer service made it worse. Would not recommend."
