This property has been restored and updated after hurricane damage. The whole property is cut as can be. We stayed in one of the suites. Lots of room and the kitchenette is fairly well stocked. There were two small things that would have made our stay even better: more towel hooks or bars in the bathroom and wine glasses in the kitchenette.

We loved staying at the recently reopened Kona Kai. We were there with our two boys, ages 6 and 8. They loved the pool, seeing the little lizards and walking on the paths to the rooms. Staff was extremely friendly and helped with suggestions for shelling, dinners, etc. We loved being able to have a fridge/freezer/microwave. Would definitely come and stay again!

As soon as we arrived and walked into the property we were thrilled that we found Kona Kai! The grounds are exceptional, the staff very friendly and great communication. Our room was perfect, with all of the amenities perfect for two. We were going to rent bikes but found everything in walking distance and hopped in the car for beach treks. We highly recommend this beautiful property for rest and relaxation… and the pool and pool facilities well equipped.

From the nature, to the quiet individual bungalows, to the cleanliness, to the location… everything was perfect for a solo traveler! I felt very safe and comfortable and had everything that I needed. Very clean and quiet. The rooms were very nice. My only negative comment is that in the welcome letter you are asked to take out trash and dispose of it in a dumpster to avoid a trash fee which is something I’ve never encountered in a hotel before.

This a a beautiful location. Quite a unique experience for a hotel, and absolutely somewhere I'll be back. Not pet friendly, but thats okay. The whole setup is just the perfect island vacation location. I literally cannot say enough good stuff about this hotel.
