"The property is an older-style motel that’s been completely redone and redecorated. Rooms are fresh, large bathrooms, easy parking. They have a simple but good breakfast. Easy walking distance to State street or the beach."

"The rooms were clean and I'd like to the fact that they had a lot of pillows. The only thing I would say that would be nice is a fan in the bathroom. You can open the window but there's a chance somebody could be looking in on you in the shower on the toilet. I enjoyed the continental breakfast. They had Otis spunkmeyer muffins and yoplait yogurt and other stuff but that's what I like and I ate. Also, the person doing the continental breakfast was on it. She kept replenishing and cleaning and doing a really good job. The air conditioning was great. I went to another hotel right after but in Anaheim. I was expecting better because it was a Homewood by Hilton. Severely disappointed."

"The location is central and great. The exterior is the historic part, which is beautiful, but marketing suggests the lobby/bar is a time capsule, which it is not. The double queen room was a great size. Water pressure in the shower was mid and the sink drained slowly. "

"Location was perfect and the rooms were exactly as described. The staff are super friendly and very helpful. Beds are super comfy with perfect selection of pillows. "

"Several things weren’t up to par considering the ‘glowing’ reviews we read before booking. Firstly, the staff were quite odd and unfriendly. Our bathroom had mould on the ceiling and the cleaners didn’t even fill up our conditioner or body wash so we couldn’t even shower. The walls are paper thin and we had cleaners shouting at each other outside our room before 8am so I don’t think staff care about guest experience at all. The ‘breakfast’ was the biggest joke of all - some lack lustre pastries, about five yogurts up for grabs and some waffle mix which ran out before we could even have some (we were down at breakfast by 8am so not sure why it had already run out and when we notified the person at the front desk, he looked annoyed that we had mentioned it). The somewhat of a saving grace is that it’s in a good location and it was nice that the rooms had been somewhat updated but I wouldn’t rush back nor would I necessarily recommend it to anyone I know. "

"Property was clean but is an older property and the rooms are outdated. No fridge and poor lighting in the room. Looks like they use different bulbs in all their lights but not very bright in the room. Not sure what was going on in the shower with the shower curtain being two long and all the soap and water building up on the shower curtain. Tv was setup on Pluto tv, not normal cable but they have Netflix and other choices to watch. I guess that’s why it’s cheaper than other properties. Staff was nice "

"We got the family suite and it is tiny, I did not expect to be that cramped in for a family of 4. If I would have known I would have gotten 2 rooms. They need to put more pictures. I felt bamboozled. The hotel is cute and in a good location. But I felt they were stingy with their supplies. Room had 3 towels 1 toilet paper, yes I know I can ask for more, but it’s common sense to leave extra supplies the more guests there is. The bed was hard for me but fine for husband. The kids did not sleep good in their bunk beds and they said it felt claustrophobic in that small “2nd Bedroom” more like a closet makeshift bedroom. I would not stay there again, but their customer service was great. "
