Friendly staff, clean on the surface, appears to be in renovation stage, heat and air worked fine, lighted/fenced parking, filthy sheets, cigarette burned bed covers, no (soap, shampoo, conditioner, hair dryer), and breakfast was just coffee and oatmeal packets. This place is perfect as a homeless refuge or a 1 hour rental. Do yourself a favor and stay at one of the local casinos.

Unbeatable price, just to spend the night.

It is a very basic hotel, but for the price you can't ask for more. The hotel staff was very friendly and attentive. I recommend it if you are just passing through, just to spend the night.

Don't let the location scare you. The hotel was nice and clean and modern. As long as you don't expect to walk anywhere I would recommend it.

The Bed was comfortable and clean, the T.V. worked. The bathroom supply was only one bar of soap and a small shampoo bottle, no body wash. Breakfast was only bags of Oatmeal, Cold muffins, Coffee, Milk and tea. building is old and worn.

Close to Bandelier National Monument

They were shout staffed however very friendly. The free breakfast is only muffins and oatmeal packets. The parking lot is shared with a restaurant.

Its okay.

The sign is very small and easy to miss at night. This hotel is mininist but well maintained and clean. The breakfast is just coffee, sweet instant oatmeal and small muffins. The staff is friendly and competent. I am ok with it all.

The hotel was clean, but is in dire need of refurbishment. Did not feel like the area was safe. They have to keep entry doors locked. Staff was friendly and helpful. Would not stay at a Rodeway Inn again. Need better signage. Bed Linens were mended.

The property is old and worn. The first floor was being painted so hopefully the property is being updated. The front of the AC was broken, as if someone had fallen on it. The lamp shade was torn, the towels were rough, one coverlet was torn and mended. The property was nice and private...off the main highway. The pool was closed...too bad. I hope it will be upgraded because it was once the best motel in Espanola. The staff was wonderful, cheerful and helpful. It was very clean which is most important. We'd stay there again with limited expectations.

Wrong Choice

I generally don’t leave bad reviews. This is an exception. Positives: room seems clean, beds were comfortable, AC worked, TV was small but worked (very fussy remote). BUT: First, driving up to it we missed the narrow driveway hidden behind a dingy Chinese restaurant with bars on the windows. Had to circle around to get back to it. The parking area has a chain link fence topped with barbed wire - not a welcoming sign when arriving. No elevator - steep stairs. No soap or shampoo in the room and a maid in the hall had none, so I needed to walk back down those stairs to ask for some. Just two towels that were barely the size of hand towels. Hot water in the bath (took forever to get there). Bathroom fan doesn’t work. Inadequate light in the room - just lights in the hall and one between the beds that doesn’t shine into the whole room. The promised free breakfast? OMG! It consisted of small muffins, instant oatmeal, coffee (no decaf) and tea. All served in a dimly lit, dreary room. See photo. Whoopee! The entire hotel including rooms, hallways, carpet, doors and trim,TVs could use upgrades. At least some color and artwork could be added. Over priced at $90. It seems that all the hotels in the area are charging much more. We regret not choosing one of those instead.

We came in well past midnight, and the clerk was so friendly and helpful. He got us a lovely room quickly so we could collapse from our long drive! The room was comfortable and clean. The breakfast was nothing special, but it was enough to see us back onto the road!
