Santa Rosa, California hotel rooms at the Relais & Chateaux

"breakfast: breads were stale. watery oatmeal, spouting Fox news from the tv. Requested channel change. Staff couldn't figure out the remote. Lost my appetite. Won't stay at Holiday Inn again."

"The location of the hotel was very convenient (right in the town square). Many restaurants and shops within a few minutes walk. The room (Deluxe Queen), while nicely fitted, was extremely small! For a solo traveler it might be OK, but even for a couple I think it was extremely tight. It would help if they/Expedia have them put room size in their listing just so it does not come as a shock. Having free breakfast was nice although it's pretty basic (Coffee, bagels, cereal yogurt etc). For the price we paid per night, it would have been nice to have a bit more space. Hence the 4 stars."

"This property is consistently well run, clean, and great service. The only issue I have is the light from the walk way. The windows don't fully black out so I kept thinking it was dawn. If your sensitive like me just be sure to bring a sleep mask."

"So to start, the hotel was very nice, clean and modernized. Thermostat controlled room was very easy to operate. All the room amenities were nice and in good condition except the table/shelf in our room, which had a big scratch in it. Also the bathroom sink looked like it was cracked in a certain spot. There are two issues with this hotel that I think need to be addressed: 1.) the hotel parking is very limited and we almost couldn’t park at this hotel even though they charged us for a parking space! 2.) They charged us for a parking space! Why even do that when you don’t have enough spaces for all the cars! 3.) The toasters for breakfast were not working. Besides those concerns the stay was decent and affordable."
