It was such a beautiful hotel. The staff was so friendly. There were lots of options to eat inside the hotel. The pool was gorgeous too. Just be cautious when walking outside and around the hotel.

Hotel is smack bang in the hustling bustling streets of Santo Domingo city, filled with traffic all day long. It’s pretty easy to find, and car park is secure. Poor rating is due to the dishonest reception staff. When booking the room, specified to have a quiet room due to having a young child. On check-in, we were told there was something missing from the room, but didn’t clearly explain what. inquired how long it would take to wait for a room without the thing missing and was told they didn’t know how long the wait would be or even if there would be a room. Surely they have a system to show which guests are checking out and have a rota to show which rooms will be cleaned first. I kept getting fobbed off with the same untruthful response. It was a really disappointing start to our stay. We took the available room after a long journey there, and mentioned that we would like to move to the room without the thing missing the following day. Emmanuel at reception agreed this would be arranged. That night, the noise from the 5th floor bar was so loud that we hardly slept. I reminded reception about moving room and they said it would be arranged. We heard nothing that day. I just want to highlight the staff in the breakfast restaurant and the cleaner were all very pleasant. Sadly, it wasn’t until we had decided to check out 1 day early that we were offered another room. No refund was offered for inconvenience and 1 day early check out. Would avoid this place!

Overall good. The only issue the first night shower handle fell off and couldn’t have water to shower. I found out around 11pm. Reported it the next morning and was fixed during the day. When I took a shower at night, there was no hot nor warm water. Only cold.

Better breakfast, a more traditional approach will be a better look for the hotel as most if not all hotels in the area offer the traditional breakfast but also a continental option as well.
