“Very welcoming host, the room had an amazing veiw. Very clean, good variety of tea, coffee and a hot chocolate. The bottle of water in the fridge was a godsend when I got back after a long day. Breakfast was very tasty, full english with a glass of fruit juice and a pot of tea( or coffee). It was so helpful being able to drop my bag off before check in... Which when I arrived I was able to check in early. Also I could leave my bag there when I checked out, meaning I didn't have to lug it around...

“Excellent reception by host and parking immediately explained and sorted. spacious room with sink and small ensuite excellent shower . Table prepared for breakfast. All one could want with starter full english plus toast and jam and yoghurt. Great location for me staying for the cricket festival which was short walk . Highly recommend as value for money”

“Was a beautiful place. Really helpful hosts. Room-superior king was beautifully presented and had a lovely view over Peasholme Park. It was lovely and peaceful. Access to amenities was easy, A 5 minute walk through park to North Beach. Then took bus which runs every 25 minutes to South Side. Had breakfast in Bella Ross cafe just across road from Park View. Which was excellent then Talk Bar next door in evenings was brilliant 5 star to all 🌟 Had a lovely 3 day stay.”

“We stayed over for the concert at the open air. The hotel was clean and well maintained- all the staff were polite and friendly. Our room was clean. The bar was lovely and the restaurant and breakfast was perfect. The en-suite was very small but clean. The only thing that would have meant full star rating would have been a better parking arrangement, - a quality mattress and blackout curtains. That being said we would definitely stay here again.”

“We love staying at this hotel. The staff are really helpful nothing is too much trouble. The hotel also has some really thoughtful touches like providing rain ponchos for guests heading to shows at the outdoor open air theatre. When we came back from the show we were abit cold so we loved that we could grab a complimentary hot chocolate from the lounge. They are also showing the World Cup at the hotel Cinema. Touches like this make it a really special place to stay. Can’t wait to visit again!”

“Arrived to be given a key and parking disc , friendly but nobody overnight at a reception, big room but found it very noisy with the seagulls and road noise as single glazed windows , tap wobbly and no waste cover in shower , should have unplugged the fridge as noisy at night on and off , no plug point near the dressing table so couldn’t see when drying hair , did smell like a greasy spoon !!!”

“I think the hotel is either new or newly run as they seem to be finding their feet. Check-in was 3pm to 4pm and when I called to say I might be around 6:30, I was told "it's only hour and a half from Manchester" and "there might not be anyone here after 5pm". It felt a bit abrupt in all honesty but when I arrived around 5:30 (Friday school holiday traffic), they were pleasant enough. Breakfast starts at 10:30 to 11:30 which is very late and checkout is 10am. Weird timings, hence my theory they...

“I'd say our stay was average. The room was clean, except for the windows which were covered in hand prints. Both of the silver finish plates around the shower controls were loose and not attached to the walls. The restaurant food was ok......I saw customers wait for accompanying sides well after their mains were delivered. We ordered 1 large glass of house white and 1 red with our meal. The white came in a large glass but the red came in a small glass filled to the brim as they had no large...

“Staff were helpful however the room was awful. No toilet roll upon check in and also no toilet roll holder. The bathroom was very dusty, the shower took about 20 attempts to switch off. The room was uninviting, stains on the carpet and the chair. The TV seemed like an after thought and was on the windowsil. There were patches on the wall where they appeared to have repaired something but it was a very poor job. The room door did not lock and we had to put the chair againat the door overnight....
