I really appreciated how every staff member and to name a few names that we can remember - Sabrina and every staff in the executive lounge, the new executive chef Matt, and his team of waiting staff and chefs, conceige staff Mark and his team. We had a rocky trip because my husband became unwell in the trip but their caring and personable attitude with the willingness to go the extra mile has eased the pain to some extent. A reliable and well appointed hotel. Some staff are more friendly and helpful than others. The area surrounding the hotel is not the best, although it is a short walk to Jingan which has a great temple and upmarket shopping.

Very new refurbished hotel so all in excellent new condition. Each room has a Dyson hair dryer. Breakfast buffet has a great selection. Very clean and helpful staff. Some rooms are a little louder as they don’t have sound proof window glassing and it’s right next to highway. Room service is very limited and I ordered in the restaurant as I couldn’t work it from room. Didn’t try out the pool but it looked amazing. Other area to improve would be to offer a pillow selection. Mine felt very hard. Overall great stay.

I stumbled on Hilton city hotel and decided to try it. My first impression was wowed by the Guest Eervices Manager John, he was extremely personable and went the extra mile to do check in and escorted me to the room. Hotel that I definitely will stay again.

The hotel has just finished renovation for a few months, everything is new ( colleague say that their rooms has always been good tho), room is spacious and comfortable. Among everything I appreciate most about the air conditioning, it is very responsive but also quiet enough for sleeping. Also, their staff are extremely nice and helpful ( and Thank you Simon for staying with us at the entrance the whole time while we wait for the airport pick up :D )

Nice Hotel, great staff

I moved here from another hotel because Shanghai can be trying when you don’t have a nice place to go back to each night. The hotel was lovely. Clean and great staff. It could do with a few nicer add ons like - a spa/massage service and more than one beer in the fridge and only pringles as a food option in room. Location is good but can be a pain to get DiDi from. Genuinely nice hotel though. I would stay there again.
