Often referred to as the Niagara of the West, Shoshone Falls is a must see attraction in Twin Falls, Idaho. At 65 m (212) feet tall and 275 m (900 foot) wide, Shoshone Falls is one of the largest natural waterfalls in the United States surpassing the height of the famous Niagara Falls. Shoshone Falls is located on the Snake River as it carves its way through a deep basalt Canyon on its way to the Columbia River. The vehicle fee at Shoshone Falls Park and Dierkes Lake is $5.00 per car. The fee is in effect from March 1st through September 30th. Shoshone Falls is open year round with the exceptions of temporary closures due to poor road conditions. The park hours are from dawn to dusk. #trovember

The falls were beautiful. We just went to the walkway lookout. There is a charge per vehicle to go down to the walkway, however if you go early enough there is no one monitoring the gate.

$5 for parking so bring cash. There is also a souvenir shop. When driving down to the falls there is a side road that goes to the right. There is a lake with a park and a trail that loops around the lake. Bring your bathing suite, kayak, or fishing pole.

We went to the light and laser show. Very nice. They bus you down the canyon. there were some seating, but not enough. Highly recommend.

Stop at visitors information center near bridge into Twin Falls. Lots of stuff and base jumpers off bridge. Cool place.
