But I wasn’t prepared for the level of decline: none of the restaurants/bars were open (permanently, it seems), the front desk was hardly staffed, the lobby wasn’t an inviting place to spend time. "Wonderful property- great Onsen with multiple baths, great location right in town"

"The room was beautiful with a patio that overlooked the lush hillside. The dining area was pleasant and the food was good. The onsen, however, could stand some refurbishment. The hotel advertises late checkout but I was told that 11:00 am constitutes late checkout. This seems like a bit of a scam to me. Made my departure more rushed than a I planned for it to be."

"Very quiet location as close to Miho no Matsubara as you can get in a place to stay. Owner of the place, Mrs. Endo, was extremely pleasant and motherly. Accommodations were excellent with Japanese meals for breakfast. Need to take a taxi to get to any other touristy spots and to Shizuoka Shinkansen station (about 40 mins). The beach and the pine tree forest are right there. Very quiet and relaxing. I would stay there again in the future. "
