The room was beautifully furnished and very spacious. Bathroom spotless! An amazing spot to spend the night. We regretted not to stay two nights as the hotel land and the area offers interesting things. Breakfast and dinner were excellent.

Just 17 minutes away from downtown Silver City you will find a gem to stay at Bear Mountain Lodge. It is a historic property, excellently maintained and run in a very friendly manner. They offer breakfast and dinner, and the culinary experience was above standard and delicious. The rooms and bathrooms are very spacious, clean, and well appointed. The bed was comfortable, which is something not always the case at hotels. We were very pleased with our stay, and plan to return in the future.

A medical issue raised its head when I checked in. The care and support I received went well beyond any call of duty. The place is beautiful, curated with quality art throughout. The room was like a luxurious home with a balcony over looking a vast expanse of nature. The breakfast was delectable. But above all of this, in the words of AmEx commercials — the sense of security and care was priceless. Such good good people. My deepest gratitude.

The Bear Mountain Lodge is a real treat. Small enough to feel private and exclusive, large enough to feel professional and welcoming. Our breakfasts were beautiful homemade meals with fresh ingredients and served with a smile. The entire lodge is spotlessly clean. The staff is thoughtful, friendly, and helpful. I hope to comeback someday in the future. Don’t miss this gem.
