โWe booked very last minute, due to an unforeseen problem with our holiday cottage. When we arrived it was literally 5 mis before they stopped serving food BUT the chap said I'll go and ask the chef .,. He did and we enjoyed a very hearty excellent steak and ale pie each. Absolutely delicious, nothing too much trouble. Breakfast cooked to order and v attentive staff throughout.โ
โLovely touches in the room, handmade soap, face cloths, earplugs, little goodie bag on checkout.
Team were all amazing.
Lovely breakfast served with great coffee.
Great spot right on the cove where you can sit and watch the boats come and go.โ
โA glorious stay in room 412 which for us (couple and 4y/o on a sofa bed) was absolutely perfect. Double balcony with the most wonderful views, well proportioned room with everything we could need and a very nice touch of a complimentary welcome Salcombe Gin & Tonic in our room!
Parking was convenient with the porter parking for us and was handled quickly and efficiently.
The pool facilities were beautifully clean and tranquil and enjoyed especially by our daughter on the child permitted...
โA lovely traditional Hotel, the owners have paid careful attention to detail in all respects to fully accommodate their guests, I would highly recommend this friendly and wonderfully presented Hotelโ
โWonderful Escapism
A treat away for my 50th birthday. Exceptional service throughout our stay from bar and restaurant staff, through to the lovely cleaning ladies. Made my stay very special, fabulous food both at the Pilchard Inn and the black tie dinner. Any little issues were dealt with straight away and am already looking for an excuse to go back again, oh and you must brave it and take a swim in the mermaid pool.โ
โMost enjoyable stay at the Hope & Anchor. The location is amazing, beautiful views of the beach and the coast, lovely balcony to enjoy a meal and a drink overlooking the sea. Nice and comfortable rooms, delicious food, most friendly staff.โ
โWhat a remarkable place to stay. Everyone was so pleasant and the rooms very comfortable. And the restaurant/pub was so good. We at breakfast, lunch and dinner there. I honestly canโt recommend this place enough. โ
โA wonderful hotel across the road from the beach. Check in was very easy, the gentleman was happy and informative. The room had everything we needed including a fan, clean, well kept and beautifully simple. Very quiet at night, with a comfortable bed, breakfast was brilliant with multiple choices, cooked quickly and the chef was great. The garden was great especially in the evenings and the bar was reasonably priced. All the staff we met were happy to chat or recommend a place to go.
Check out...

Fantastic shower, tea and coffee and a well stocked kitchen that was spotlessly clean.

Really enjoyed our stay would definitely stay again and recommend as well to family and friends.โ
โA little gem. Had a fantastic weekend stay at The Smugglers. From the minute we checked in to the moment we left, the staff made us very welcome. The restaurant served superb steaks cooked on their charcoal grill.
thank you Mark and Emily and all the staff. They are a real credit to your hard work in making this hotel a lovely place to unwind and relax. Andrew and Samโ
