"The staff there were pleasant and helpful when they could. That being said, this hotel did not match the pictures at all. Room was dark and gray and the bed was very hard. When we asked for 1 extra pillow, they said they didn't have any more. (There's a Kmart, like 2 miles away, so it's not like they didn't have the opportunity to get any.) I knew that there wouldn't be any breakfast, but there wasn't any coffee anywhere, not even instant coffee in the room. We had to go to a restaurant down the street to get a cup of coffee because the restaurant in the hotel didn't open until 10 am. The only amenity were 2 shampoos and a couple of little bars of soap. One of the shampoos was half empty. There's a mini mart next door that opened at 8 am, which was helpful. Other than the tiny ants, the room was clean. The location was close to restaurants and the beach. This met our basic needs, but we were pretty disappointed overall. "

"The royal orchid, one hotel has always been my go to hotel when visiting Guam. I have noticed over the years that the hotel is that a rundown state. Upon check in I was greeted with a very warm and welcoming staff. Very kind and professional. We checked into our 1st room (#636) as we started to settle in I saw a small roach on the floor and killed. When I opened the refrigerator to place beverages multiple roaches of various sizes came out of the cabinet the refrigerator was in. I immediately went back down and requested for another room which they did accommodate without any issues. We were able to inspect the roomand was assisted by staff moving from one room to the other. During our stay in that room (#606) we did not encounter any roaches until we were gathering our belongings to checkout. A roach was crawling on the restroom mirror. That was the last straw for me. I will never stay there again due to the lack of care. There is clearly an infestation. Very Unfortunate. "
