stayed at this property 5years ago it was excellent what a change room was single not double with a double bed and no space toilet and shower so small a child would feel uncomfortable and no parking at all so cost £6.00 aday could not recommend

Hôtel bien situé mais pas très propre
Hôtel bien placé près du centre et de la plage, mais pas très propre, un savon entamé dans la douche, sol pas très bien aspiré, vitres dégoûtantes. Wifi ne fonctionne pas, bouilloire remplie de calcaire, douche très bizarre sans robinets mais avec un boitier. Nous n'avons vu personne, ménage pas fait le lendemain (séjour 2 nuits) Rideaux blancs, donc laisse passer le jour. La déco est sympa et il y a du café, thé et petits gâteaux emballés.

Clean and basic
This is a very basic guesthouse. There is no human interaction. The keys are obtained from a key safe at the front door. You are led to believe that there is parking at the property when actually the only free parking is on the street outside. You will be extremely lucky if you can get a space. There is a public car park to the rear of the property which is very good value at £6 per day.The room that we had was extremely small and it was difficult to manoeuvre around eachother. The bathroom was also tiny. The shower was little more than a dribble, with the hot water taking an age to come through. The bathroom door could not be closed as if you did then you got stuck inside due the door being fitted incorrectly. It is very noisy in the street outside at night with shouting and traffic noise. This guesthouse is clean,the bed is comfortable and the room has most of the things you would expect,but for all of the above reasons, I would not stay here again.

Good attentive Service.
Really good place to stay, competitive price for early August. But great service and great Breakfast, being picky the TV in room was somewhat small otherwise perfect.

My room was comfortable but small, unfortunately my toilet was outside and right next to Breakfast room, this might not bother some people but bothered me, as I had to get out to it in the night and it was not very private. The breakfast was lovely and the service and of course it was very reasonable, but will only stay there again if I can have a total en suite.

Just off the seafront!
This is a spotlessly clean guest house is run by a lovely couple called Sharon and Peter,the rooms are gorgeous and the breakfast was amazing! ! I wouldn't stay anywhere else in Weston -Super -Mare.
A treat from Sharon and Peter for my daughters 18th Birthday

On the hill in Weston...
The Florence Guest House is in a street of faded grandeur.. further on down the street some buildings are boarded up. Parking in the street is restricted to 1 hour on weekdays between 9am and 6pm, unlimited at weekends. There is a municipal car park with a day rate (24 hours) of £5.50 about 100m away. Down on the esplanade, a few minutes walk downhill, there are several restaurants and cafes. The Guest House is a convenient base to walk into Weston-super-Mare.

Nice small hotel, convenient for all facilities
Peter and Sharon couldn't do enough for us. Lovely breakfast, and friendly hotel, went out of their way to be great hosts.

Lovely welcoming couple. Room was on top floor ,bed was comfortable only thing was the en suite was very compact sink was tiny and there was a glass shelf directly above so had trouble having a wash and cleaning teeth. The breakfast was excellent overall we had a lovely weekend with Sharon and Peter.

Excellent guest house, 5 minutes from beach
Arrived Saturday earlier than check-in, met by owner, Peter, who made us very welcome and said room was ready and we could check in straight away. Lovely room with four poster bed which was a surprise, nice en-suite bathroom, very comfortable bed. Excellent breakfast, Sharon and Peter catered for our needs, eg veggie sausages for me. Overall an excellent Guest House and we would certainly stay again.

Guest House - Brilliant, Hosts - Wonderful
My girlfriend & I needed a long awaited holiday with no stress & quietness. The welcome the hosts made was warm & generous. The room was clean and comfortable. Though it was only minutes from the seafront we were in a quiet road. We intend to revisit this guest house again later in the year. If you have the chance please go here.

Little gem!
Stayed here, whilst visiting Dismaland. Sharon and partner very welcoming and take pride in the service they provide. Best cooked breakfast ever, really! Well located for beach and shops. Highly recommend; excellent value for great service. Thanks!

Car parking at rear of hotel ,useful for 24hr stay
Only an overnight stay. Well received and host most helpful with local information. Good service and breakfast! Would stay again as very close to the seafront and eateries.

Wonderful Weston Getaway
Mini getaway to recharge the body batteries. Nice hosts, big breakfast, parking relatively easy. Ensuite a bit small - but I'm a big bloke! Neighbourhood a bit run down / past its sell by date - a few properties boarded up - but that's down to reasons beyond our hosts control

Comfortable and homely
Received a very warm welcome and was given a huge room, more like a hotel suite. Very comfortable with all amenities (tea, hairdryer, etc). Breakfast was excellent, plenty of choice and good quality. Nice dining room. Good location on street parallel to sea front.

Watch out for check-in policy
We booked a one night stay in Florence Guest House on 06/06/15. We live in London and had a business trip to Cardiff on that weekend. We planned to stop by around Bristol on the way back - that is how we found this hotel and booked a stay based on good reviews. We planned arriving and checking in around 6 - 7 pm but due to an unexpected event in Cardiff our schedule has been delayed and requested late check in (between 10 - 11 pm). To our surprise the owner refused the late check-in request. She referred to the check-in policy where the published check-in times are 2 - 9 pm and they cannot accept late arrivals without prior arrangement. I even called them to find a solution but the lady on the phone was adamant that they cannot accept our request. Booking another stay was impossible. All accommodation were booked already I called more than 50 places but could not found anything where we could stay. After a busy day we were extremely exhausted but had no other choice then to drive another 4 hours back to London. Needless to say we also lost our money as they do not accept late cancellation. I am writing this review to help others avoid frustration and make sure they contact the hotel well in advance if they are planning to check in after 9 pm. Unfortunately in case of any unforeseen issues dealing with the owners seems to be very difficult (based on my example).

Cheap, clean, good food.
Nice room, very clean, food was exerlent. Unfortunately the toilet for the single room is in the hallway between the dining room and kitchen, makes you feel uncomfortable when you want to go as everyone can see you go in, how long your in there, it's not soundproof, so not good. Also you have to get dressed to go in the night. There is no parking other than a pay and display so this adds extra £5.50 per night to your fee.

Stay at Florence Guest House
The owner was very helpful with information, directions, maps etc. She alerted me to screw-up by Hotels.com re location. The room was quite small and the twin bed is more suitable for someone who is average height. I'm tall so it wasn't long enough for me. My biggest issue was the room had a sink and shower, but the toilet was located in the front hall, which was awkward and inconvenient. I'm surprised they did not put a toilet/sink in the room and install the shower in the hall since it is less used.

Only by chance did I book this hotel
And I highly recommend anyone who plans to visit weston super mare for a short amount of time. The owner of the hotel was so pleasant and even helped me out when a technical difficulty shook up my morning travel arrangements. Couldn't have asked for any more at such a reasonable price.

Family Wedding - get together
Went to Weston for a family wedding. Had asked for twin beds for my children and ended in a double. Rooms were small. Cat and swing comes to mind. A bit in your face as soon as you walk in, but friendly. Breakfast was adequate. Not far from sea front. On the whole a reasonable stay.

If you are looking for a place in Weston-super-Mare or within commuting distance to Bristol, this is a good choice. The place is clean and comfortable.
