"A great and nice place in a bustling neighborhood. The hotel and amenities are good for a peaceful stay. The staff is very cooperative and helpful. We only ate the breakfast, and it was a great spread with variety of options for gluten free also. Overall, a great experience."

"The restaurant and check-in staff were really great. The check out staff was kind of rude. We stayed on the 5th floor and after literally 45 trips to India and I can say this was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed (and I have a high tolerance for cultural diversity and don’t require luxury). The 5th floor hallway has a stink like overstated rat urine that I have never experienced in my life. It immediately invoked my gag relax and I have PTSD from the smell. I’ve stayed in villages and rural areas and am not even disturbed by a one off rat. But this was next level like I have never smelled and my throat closed up. Honestly.. not fit for human habitation. I am not sure if every floor was like this, but it’s obvious to me that there is a rat infestation (and I mean 100s not just a few) in their ventilation system .additionally the sink did not drain, the shower did not drain.. and I kid you not.. not just embellishing and adding additional thing, there was literally a beetle in the curd rice at the lunch buffet. I have a higher degree of tolerance for mistakes and mishaps, but no human should be staying on the 5th floor of the building. Perhaps other floors are better.. not sure."

"Rooms, ambience were good. Only one thing which was low quality was high tea menu. They served Jhalmuri and veg sandwich, which is very unlikely in a five star property... Had no other option."

"I recently stayed at the JW Marriott Hotel Kolkata during my business trip to India, and it was one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had. I travel a lot for work and rarely write reviews, but the staff at this property truly deserve appreciation. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with such a warm welcome. The check-in process felt like a first-class experience. A special thank you to Sayani from the front office, who made me feel so comfortable after a long and exhausting day of meetings. I was extremely tired, but the way she planned my evening completely changed my day. I was able to relax, recharge, and return feeling full of energy again. She arranged a foot massage and a relaxing spa treatment for me, and it turned out to be one of the best spa experiences I’ve had. Preeti at the spa was also wonderful and made the experience even more special. The hospitality, care, and professionalism of the entire team were outstanding. Thank you to everyone at JW Marriott Kolkata for making my stay so memorable."
