“The off street parking was excellent! Location was good to be able to walk to the castle and restaurants. The room itself was a good size, comfortable and clean and the shower great! However we had no wifi in our room and had to sit in the reception to see our emails which made planning ahead for our holiday tricky. Our room was near a function room and it was noisy until midnight. The staff at the reception were nice. Good place to stay to discover Kilkenny.”

“I'm usually okay with older historic hotels as long as they're kept up well. The linoleum flooring instantly showed how cheaply the room was redone. A lot of basic housekeeping was lacking. The toilet bowl had stains at the bottom, which I've never encountered in any hotels, a gross-looking coffee pot and ironing board, a stained anti-slip mat, and a TV screen covered in streaks. The only good things were a newly renovated shower/bathtub and full heating/cooling control, which is hard to find in...

“This place is fun. Right next to the pub where we met the host and enjoyed a pint or two. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was nice and clean. We even had a piano on our patio! Good place to rest for an evening.”
