It is a new hotel in a remote village in Tuscany, it has been renovated to a high standard, our experience was poor. 1. The hotel was around £175/night for a three person room and there was no one to carry the customers' luggage upstairs. 3.The stairs to the first floor had no bannister. 4. The room was commodious but were were warned that we couldn't take our own food or drink to our room. A new one for me, which indicates a hotel with cash flow problems. 5. My wife pointed out that she only drank fresh milk and there was none available and asked if she could bring fresh milk into the room. She was told they'd provide fresh milk for her. Not once in the entire stay was fresh milk left in the room. 6. The breakfast was OK, but sparse and not outstanding and the staff didn't know how to cook a soft-boiled egg. 7. We arrived on a Saturday and the towels we were using were still there on Monday morning. Transpires the towel service was less than you'd get at a Premier Inn. We had to ask for fresh towels. 8. Mop buckets were left in the corridors, for hours on end. 9. There was no hand rail for the in-bath shower an accident waiting to happen. 10. When we were presented with the bill we had been charged €30 a night instead of the €12.95 shown on the agreement because we hadn't named our grandson on at the time of booking, notwithstanding the fact that for the entire stay there were only two cups and two glasses provided in the room. 11. An unpleasant experience.

Dear Guest, thank you for taking the time to review your stay with us. We are happy to read that you’ve appreciated the high standard of our renovation on the property. We are very sorry to hear that the perception you had of our Relais and our services wasn’t good; we usually take every comment, either positive or negative, very seriously in order to improve ourselves. In this case we feel many of your remarks are not responding to the current situation. We are always very helpful with our guests and we always offer ourselves for helping with luggage, therefore it's very surprising to hear that there was no one helping in that. We kindly ask our guests not to bring food in the rooms for hygienic and healthy reasons that are definitely not related to our hotel cash flow. Every morning fresh milk was served to your wife. Probably we misunderstood your request, but we honestly thought that while asking for fresh milk at mornings you meant at breakfast. Therefore, it is quite difficult for us to fully understand your complaint. If this is the case, we are sorry for the misunderstanding of course. Regarding the towels, as every other hotel does, respecting our environment we ask our guests to leave towels on the floor when they want these to be changed. This would have been enough and in any case, we provided you extra towels after a couple of days. On the other side we can understand that not everybody is completely aware on hotel policies. Cleaning materials are left outside the rooms just while cleaning corridors or common areas; we pay a lot of attention on details and we do all of our best to keep our Relais neat and shining. Lastly, we exchanged few emails with you in which we communicated the price for the third person per night (which is €30, as written on our website and in our policies), therefore we are not sure what you are referring to

Super nettes abgelegenes Hotel
Ich hab mich selten in einem Hotel so wohl gefühlt: Das Personal war angefangen von Rezeption bis hin zu Frühstück und Abendessen super freundlich. Das Hotelzimmer war sehr groß und sehr sauber. Es waren ein paar Details die einfach zu einem gemütlichen Urlaub beigetragen haben: das Wlan hat super funktioniert, am Fernseher ist Netflix vorinstalliert, es gab genügend Ablagefläche im Bad, es war eine komplette Verdunkelung möglich. Wir haben 4 Nächte in diesem Hotel verbracht und 3 davon auch am Abend dort gegessen. Die Küche ist sehr gut und das Preisleistungsverhältnis hat gepasst (ca. 10 EUR für Nudelgerichte) Das Frühstück auf der Terasse war mein Highlight des Tages und die Auswahl war auf jeden Fall ausreichend. Der Poolbereich war sehr sauber und es waren immer genügend Liegen für alle vorhanden. Nach Siena sind es etwa 15-20 Min mit dem Auto. Die Gegend rund um das Hotel ist sehr nett und wir haben einige Spaziergänge bzw. Läufe gemacht. Ich würde dieses Hotel auf jeden Fall empfehlen und auch selbst wieder dort unterkommen.

Bella struttura, camera ampia e curata, mi aspettavo una vista più bella e aperta sulle colline,nei dintorni non vi e’ quasi nulla, quindi auto fondamentale, colazione buona e varia, personale reception gentile ma poco esauriente nelle informazioni sulla zona circostante
