โMy wife and I were staying here for our sons wedding. I couldn't ask for a better weekend. The hotel was very convenient to everything. We were in walking distance to the wedding and reception hall. Also 1 block away from several breweries and places for live music. Walking distance to several restaurants and shops. The hotel had a restaurant of its own. It served breakfast and dinner. There also was bar/lounge in the hotel that had jazz type music. We stayed in the suite. It was newly done and...
โI expect a clean place for my stay as basic for choosing a place and the hotel exceeded on that front as well as all others. The small things add up to a good stay. A great shower and very comfortable beds. A room with great room darkening curtains, a quiet exhaust fan, a most helpful staff, reasonably good location at a reasonable price.โ
โUnique and historic hotel. I love the antique decor and the staff/ owner were very friendly. No need to leave the hotel for meals as the hotel has a quaint restaurant, with various cuisine options and offers indoor/ outdoor dining. The chef is friendly and talented. He adds west coast flare to classic meals. The Captain Crunch french toast and patty melt were 2 favorites. He even helped jump my battery after I left my lights on! Easily, the best upcoming hotel in Deland.โ
โReview based on being a male, single occupant:: clean room, updated, convenient to highway/shopping. Not fancy, but easily fits the need for a reasonably priced, clean room. However DO NOT RECOMMEND for single, or traveling together females- find another place, please.โ
โThis property is a beautiful & quiet location right on the St.John's river. The room was spotless, and the staff was wonderful. I liked how the room and sheets smelled clean but not "Chemical" . Easy access to great fishing as well. What more can you ask for?!?!? โ
โThey let the kids stay in the pool later. The room was really nice like they were just remodeled. It was big with a little table with chairs and a desk with a chair.โ
