"Everything was great"

" A quick 2 night spring break getaway with the family. When we booked, it stated hot tub and sauna on location. I asked the front desk upon check in and was told they havent had either in about 6+ years. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Upon entering our 2 queen bed/ pull-out couch suite, we noticed many things. The following is what we observed: stains on the walls, stains on the curtains, ice bucket outside liner torn completely, cabinet door completely off on one hinge, and door handles all completely loose. All pretty much easy fixes if someone would take the time. After swimming (good sized pool, clean pool area, clean and well stocked gym) we went to take a shower and the water would not drain. We let the front desk know immediately and they promised a maintenance person the next day. Maintenance was prompt and courteous the next day (fixed the cabinet door and the drain). Now for the breakfast...there were a variety of delicious options. The problem was the staff. Only 1 person on the flat top (for made to order omelets) and 1 person to maintain the dining room in a sold out hotel is a staffing shortage indeed. On the 2nd morning, we came down for breakfast at 8:25 (breakfast ends at 9 on weekdays) and most everything was already gone. Overall, some much needed TLC and added staff could do wonders here. "

"My stay from 03/13-03/15/2026 at Avid hotel Milwaukee West Waukesha by IHG in Pewaukee, Wisconsin was great. The building appears pretty new. Basic amenities, mini fridge in the room but a clean room. Staff were nice. Microwave, filtered water, tea, hot cocoa packets available all day on the 1st floor in the reception area. I saw a small gym with 2-3 treadmills that I didn't utilized. Wide elevators. Breakfast was included (cereal, bagels, mini muffins, scrambled eggs, alternating days- bacon or sausage). If you don’t like their breakfast- there is a well known fastfood (McD) restaurant very close waking distance. About 7 minute drive to a healthy grocery store. I believe there were a few restaurants across the hotel that I didn't utilized. The area/neighborhood appears clean and pretty safe. I would definitely stay at this same hotel again."

"It’s a really nice hotel and the staff are fantastic"

"The bedroom was not cleaned. Next to the bed on the floor was a spoon, a playing card, a used bandage, and coffee cup lid. There was hair in the tub. It just was not cleaned well at all. I talked to the front desk people and they apologized, but that was it. The breakfast was okay but they ran out of plates and no one filled them for a while so people had to wait. The front lobby has some games for families to play, so that was nice. The pool and hot tub were also nice. "
