"Arrived to a very warm welcome by the reception staff, explained about the use of the fitness facilities and the restaurant. Food was good, highly recommend the pork tomahawk. Room excellent with all the facilities that I needed. "

"Positive: location, the peaceful feeling of a country house, the view on the fields and horses, cozy apartment. Room for improvement: all 3 mattresses were sagging/broken, we all basically slept on springs. The radiator of the 2 single beds room was so noisy we had to turn it off. Wifi very weak but I guess it does not depend on the owners."

"Room was spotless, breakfast was good and a great location just outside of the city centre. Bus service just outside the hotel. Very enjoyable stay. "

"Location and parking great, ASDA close by, very comfortable, plenty of tea/coffee and staff very friendly. Just as a North American, i found the bathtub hard to climb in and out of. Great stay."

"Booked the house to stay, 5 months in advance. Had no contact from the owner, so emailed with 1 month until stay date. Was assured everything was fine. They contacted a week and half before stay date to cancel due to routine maintenance. Three hours on the phone to book somewhere else, to be told I had to wait 72 hours before we could rebook. Asked to have my money back and was told 14 days for a refund. Shocking service!"

"We did not get a code for check in and the phone number shown on the booking wasn’t working. We had trouble contacting the owner and had to find a way to contact them via different website. We ended up booking a different hotel and wasted 3hours outside the building. "

"It's on a spectacular road of large Victorian houses & the room I stayed in was in keeping: it was large & high ceilinged. It & its shower room were very very clean. The welcome was helpful & friendly. I hope to stay again in the near future."
