Gun Hill sits at a height of 6,640 feet (2,020 meters) and is the second-highest point in Mussoorie. Reach the viewpoint by riding on the cable car, which travels up for about 1,300 feet (400 meters) from The Mall. Professional photographers offer visitors the chance to dress in typical Indian clothing and pose for a souvenir photo. Warm up on a chilly day with a cup of masala chai tea from one of several cafés and restaurants. Sample Indian snacks including chana kulcha, which is spicy chickpeas served with flatbread. The hilltop is above Mussoorie’s town center. Combine your visit with a stroll on The Mall, a lively commercial promenade. Alternatively, hike or ride on horseback along Camel’s Back Road, a scenic trail named after a rocky formation that resembles a camel. Gun Hill is accessible daily. The cable car runs every day. Purchase a roundtrip ticket for the cable car which is cheaper than purchasing two separate single tickets.
