“We had a great stay in room 7 @ no8 Kingsbury. The room was immaculate, the bathroom was stunning as it was in the basement. Loved the breakfast items in the room, fresh cold milk, water and orange juice. Really liked that it was self check in/out so we could come and go as we please. Shame there’s no on site parking but we found some at the top of the hill, the owners also pre warmed up about a leak in our room so there was a dehumidifier in there. Highly recommend overall and we will be back!...

“Character, charm and creaks. Marlborough is an historic town with much to admire in the town and around the area. When you are fortunate enough to stay in such an area it is good to stay somewhere that is in sympathy with its surroundings. The Castle and Ball stands proud on the high street and is sympathetic to all the surrounding period properties. Time has missed many beats in Marlborough. The hotel is central to such modern day amenities as Waitrose and even there it is like stepping back...

“There is parking behind the waitrose and staff walked us there after their shift had ended to ensure we understood the parking App since tomorrow is the Farmers Market on High Street and we would have to move the vehicle early. Now it’s all sorted and paid in advance. Of course it’s an older hotel and everything is crooked and settled, but you should come here for that eclectic experience, as we did. I just miss the old mural that was painted in the pub before, replaced by a more modern map. ”

“Parking was very easy Staff were delightful and helpful The hotel was very quiet with it being out of season so the menu choice in the restaurant was very limited but what we had was good and value for money. “Arrived late after a long motorcycle ride. Kitchen had closed but Emma arranged for a meal for us regardless. Emma and Adam have only had this place since beginning of year but have plans for some renovation. There welcome, service and food were superb, especially the fab breakfast. Glad to have met Emma and Adam (again) and I wish them both well in their future plans. Thanks both.”

“We were staying here because our bathroom is being renovated and will definitely stay again. The staff were so friendly and helpful. The room was clean and comfortable with a brilliant shower that I did not have to faff around with adjusting, just turned on and it was the perfect temperature. The underfloor heating makes the room very warm although one can open the windows. In kinder weather, there are chairs outside each of the rooms to sit on and enjoy a drink or smoke, and the pub...
