“Friendly, welcoming staff on check in. Room was a good size. Breakfast served from 4am but limited food on display, no hot food available. If you're getting dropped off by car, the reception will validate the ticket so you are not charged.”

“Handy location, a five-minute walk to the city centre and near the racecourse. Secure car park is a huge bonus (extra charge). Okay for one or two nights”

“Fantastic location with added bonus of parking. Great central location. Excellent apartment. Everything amenity you'd require. Tracy was lovely, very friendly and welcoming. We had a fabulous stay. Thank you”

“Really good location that was in the heart of downtown and a close walk to everything.”

“We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Great location and staff were all very friendly and helpful. The luggage storage facility was great for both pre and post check in. Will stay again when next in Chester if the price is right”

“I’d booked for a room in the Queens Wing however was given a room in the Kings wing. The room was quite dated, the carpet was old and lots of wear and tear. The room and corridors were musty smelling. The reception and bar area have been refurbished since my last visit however the rest of the hotel still needs work!”

“Clean and tidy, excellent location and beautiful views.”

“The Jug & Bottle is a really well run establishment. Attention to detail in all things they do is a joy to experience. Our room was very well appointed and very comfortable. Breakfast was excellent with a good variety of choices and high quality. The staff were friendly and really helpful. Our evening meal could not be bettered. The menu was varied with a wide range of choices and the wine list excellent. Delicious food and wine and very good value as indeed was the cost of our two night stay....
