"We stayed for one night, a Sunday, as a celebratory treat for our wedding anniversary. The Adelphi came up on searches based on location because we were going to see Marillion at the Philharmonic Hall. We were also intrigued to stay at the Adelphi because my late father stayed there many times in the 1980s with work. The building is stunning inside and out and a joy to stay in. The staff are friendly, helpful and happy. We had a great night in a beautiful room with a lovely buffet breakfast. So much food and choice and plenty of seating for quieter zone people too. Very reasonable priced stay for a Liverpool city stay. Well done Adelphi and staff."

The room is understaffed, therefore: no plates or bowls sometimes, not enough fruit or other selections, the host was also busser and table setup man, logjams at coffee and toast area (more staff could serve pots of tea and coffee). The staff there was did an incredible job under the circumstances and deserve more assistance. We loved our room."

"A really good place for me to stay. A two night visit to see friends. I did meet the owners, and they we very helpful. I liked the decoration and facilities I had in my room, the Balcony Room, which not surprisingly has an outdoor balcony! A comfortable bed. Best of all, was the freshly baked bread, yummy! Its close to 2 pubs, I actually only went into one, which had great beer, did meals and had a friendly welcome. I cn't say about the other one, only because I didn't have the chance to go in. If you like sea walks along the promenade, this guest house is perfect."

"Spent one night at the Springfield Hotel. Greeted by the friendly reception staff & given information of facilities & where to dine/relax with a drink etc before being directed to our room (which had been upgraded to executive) Lovely room (37) overlooking the estuary with everything to a high standard & comfy big bed. Woken at 8am by fire alarm & power cut but staff couldn’t have been more helpful & apologetic, although out of their control. Had a limited breakfast as a result but again nothing really to complain about. Overall a lovely brief stay & would definitely return."

"My stay was clean and comfortable although check-in seemed a bit haphazard. My room was a little bit cramped even for a single person although it was a double room. There was not enough room for wardrobes or drawers so I would suggest some shelves in the room and en suite would be useful. Location was very good for accessing cycle routes on the Wirral."
