"Staff went out of their way to make us feel comfortable"

"The Fairmont is a very nice hotel, but unless you appreciate all of the staff welcoming you and telling you to have a good day over and over, then it is probably significantly overpriced. I do appreciate the friendly staff, but many details fell short. For example, when we arrived, we were told at the desk that we would have a complimentary breakfast each morning, as well as $100 in credits towards other hotel services. We quickly found out the first morning this wasn't true. We showed up for breakfast and it was awkward and embarrassing when they told us that this was not included in our stay. We figured out that the $100 in credits was also misinformation, fortunately before another embarrassing situation. The bluetooth speaker in the room never worked and neither did the syncing with the TV, but we never had time to get these fixed. We shouldn't have need to."

"I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. Its location is extremely convenient for exploring Prague — you can walk to most major attractions at your own pace without needing any transportation. The hotel is just a short walk from Charles Bridge and Old Town Square. There are plenty of local restaurants nearby, and even two McDonald’s locations within a 10‑minute walk. Despite being close to everything, the hotel sits on a quiet street, so it feels peaceful. We didn’t try the hotel breakfast, as it seemed above our usual budget, so we can’t comment on its quality."
