“A beautiful restored shophouse. Very welcoming staff and very clean common areas. The rooms can get a bit warm in the afternoon as part of the roof is covered in zinc and conducts heat directly into the room. Bed is located in the attic which can be a slight inconvenience but it adds to the overall charm of the place. Toilets are small and poky but still good enough for me. For the price, I would still recommend this place for those seeking something out of the ordinary. ”

“In addition to convenient location and beautiful traditional architecture, the staff of the hotel was very friendly, kind and helpful. Particularly, Tom gave us all the best of help when we suffered from some trouble. We had a great experience at the hotel thanks to the wonderful staff, despite an embarassed trouble losting an important item in Penang. ”

“I stayed here for 4 nights. My room(leisure suit) is on the 2nd floor and toilet is attached. This old traditional house/hotel is located between local houses and close to Komtar(shopping mall)and local market.(next to the police office) Core George town is walking distance but you can take any bus near the hotel to explore the interesting streets, even there's free bus every 30mins. It was very impressive to stay in the old house built of wood. I could read a book in the public living room...

“Short walk to gurney plaza. Convenient location. Also close to bus stop that heads to town. Clean comfortable room with ample space for luggage. Bathroom -shower with soap and shampoo provided. Communal fridge and freezer as well as a water filter to refill your own bottles. The room we had was upstairs(one floor up). Key pad for main entrance, then card to get into room and activate electricity/air conditioning.... Good value for money and good location, would recommend to family and...

“ I came to Penang to register my daughter into USM. It’s a great choice. It’s near to USM around 15mins. Car can park inside hotel with gates for FREE. speedmart 100meter, waking distance for local food. Becareful they lock the gate at 12midnight for security .”

“바다가 보이는 뷰의 대형 콘도를 호텔로 쓰고 있었음. 뷰는 예뻤는데 에어컨이 고장나서 그방은 잘수없었고 풀부킹이라고 레인보우 호텔방을 줬는데 바다뷰는 예뻤는데 룸은 귀신나오게 생겨서 TV틀어놓고 잤음. 호텔방하나를 계약해서 쓰는지 이방은 개인이 관리하는방이었음. ”

“The hotel knowing out wrong location on expedia to attract customers. Not in georgetown!”

“The room was super warm and humid. The windows couldn't shut fully and had incects coming in. The opposite of the property have chickens and dogs that will make noise super early in the morning. There were some lion dance practices till late at night. The room have no poles/hooks to hang stuff. Only have a small row of hooks behind the door. The property wall had tissue paper stuffed in it and multiple defects on the wall. The property has very noisy flooring, I can hear everyone walking...

“The location is awesome for local culture. But will be nice if hotel just provide enough toilet paper and coffee for those who stay multiple nights ”

“Check-in and check-out was seamlessly fast and efficient. Room is clean. Overall property is clean and very good service staff in the entire property in particular Dhur and Joe. They are so helpful and extend the extra miles to even check for us luggage storage at the airport and at Queensbay Mall”
