The Hollywood Twin room was clean, but a little too small for two people to comfortably live and get dressed. Lots of squeezing past one another in the mornings. Unfortunately, the mattress was super hard and firm. Very uncomfortable for any non-Japanese sleepers. The breakfast was good with a few Western selections. I would stay at the hotel again, but select a much larger room if needing to book for two people.
I have visited Japan 5 times now and this hotel is by far the best! The rooms are spacious, very nice and so clean. The staff are lovely and very helpful. The rooms get cleaned every day. The breakfast was also incredible!
Did not know reservations were required for dinner. Weren't able to find even though we were hotel guests. Didn't offer alternatives. Front desk staff and breakfast buffet staff were friendly and professional.

This was our second stay at Hotel Nikko Tachikawa Tokyo, and once again it was a wonderful experience. We enjoy the charm of Tachikawa — a smaller town with a relaxing atmosphere — which is why we chose to stay here instead of Shibuya or Shinjuku.
The hotel offers excellent value with reasonable prices, spacious rooms (especially by Tokyo standards), and warm, welcoming service that makes us feel at home every time. Everything from check-in to check-out was smooth and professional.
Highly recommended for anyone who prefers comfort, great service, and a more peaceful setting while still having easy access to central Tokyo. We will definitely return!
This is my second stay at this hotel, and the service remains impeccable, especially in terms of room cleanliness and organization.
The breakfast menu varies every other day, which is a nice touch.
However, I was slightly disappointed that the live egg-cooking station by the chef has been discontinued.
Overall, it is an excellent hotel and a great choice for anyone visiting Tachikawa City in Tokyo.
Nice welcome hospitality
Very solid bed
Provided decent amenities
POLA brand is one of top cosmetic companies in Japan, and very good quality
This is my 3rd times to stay at Nikko Hotel Tachikawa. I will book again the hotel in future.
Thank you!
I liked the staff and price was reasonable. I didn't like the area it was near. Lots of bars nearby and scary isolated tunnel on other side if walking to at night kind of scary.
I stayed here for two weeks, and I'd love to return for the following reasons:
1. The rooms are decently sized, clean, and have helpful amenities like coffee maker/small fridge/safe, air-purifier, hangers, shoe horn, slippers, and all the toiletries that one needs.
2. The firm mattress was excellent for my sleep - they use comfortable Simmons mattresses that feels very supportive.
3. The large window lets in lots of natural light, and the room was very soundproof. Never heard my neighbors or the trains running on the track a few hundred meters north.
4. The breakfast has an amazing spread. They have traditional Japanese, as well as western choices. Many kinds of beverages were also available.
5. The Tachikawa station is a short 8 min walk away, so very accessible. And if you want more food choices, you can cross the street to find many different shops and eateries.
6. The staff at this hotel (including housekeeping) were efficient, courteous, and friendly. On my last day, I had a chat with the chef during breakfast, and he cared genuinely about the quality of food he was serving.
Thank you Nikko Tachikawa.

The breakfast started too late for me at 6:45. Very disappointing. The laundry machines were trash as well.
