After kneeling and bowing, you throw two "stones" onto the floor. They are both crescent shaped with a sun and a moon side. If they end up both on one side, the answer is NO. If they end up both on the other side, the answer is maybe, or not enough information. If the end up like a ying and a yang, then the answer is YES. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were spacious and comfortable. The hotel was very quiet as we were there during the weekend and holiday so we did not hear any of the construction being done on the outside of the building. The location is close to the subway station and there are also lots of restaurants within walking distance.

Well located hotel in taipei....rooms are ample and in good condition. The only issue we had was that the staff barely speak english, but we and them found a way!!

Evergreen Laurel has been our home base for the last 10 years. It's a very comfortable hotel with excellent location. Breakfast is wonderful. It provides snacks and also serves congee for the hotel guests in the evening.

Great Hotel 5 ⭐

This hotel is an excellent place to stay in Taepi. We were kindly given complimentary upgrades and thoroughly enjoyed our four-night stay. The rooms are spacious and spotless, the staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful, and the breakfast is outstanding. The location is ideal—just a five-minute walk to the MRT. Highly recommended.
