Teesside, England hotel rooms at the Barcelo

"The inn was okay and the staff were nice. Couldn’t sleep though which is the point of a hotel. Had a road facing room and could hear every single car as it sped by. Torture. The shower was also maybe the worst I’ve had in the last 5 years of constant travel. Felt like someone held a pinched hose over me and there was no water pressure at off peak shower times. "

"Excellent location for a local gig, wide range of breakfast items and everything was fresh and hot. The staff were very friendly and helpful, rooms were immaculate and quiet. I thought that £7 parking overnight was a bit steep though. "

"Beautifully clean but next to no noise insulation. There was also a hole in the floor which could have been problematic for young children or the elderly."

"Great hotel, nice clean room, a bit on the small side but more than adequate for a 1 night stay. Breakfast was quite nice with a decent selection of food. Staff were pleasant although I did have to ask twice for a receipt for a coffee I bought from the bar. The server inadvertently put the receipt in the till and went on to serve someone else."

"I didn’t actually stay here I checked in and was shown to the room I went in the smell was over whelming the sheets on the bed look dirty the flooring was worn with gaps and had not been hoovered. I left as I would not stay in such a dump and booked in another hotel "

"Staff lovely and friendly as always. Rooms lovely though my bedroom floor was a bit dusty and in need of sweeping! Nice toiletries, though only 1 decaf coffee and no decaf tea in the room. Food is great but evening menu had very few vegetarian dishes all including mushrooms I was really disappointed with the choice. The lovely lady serving was very sympathetic to my poor choice. Breakfast great with lots of choice for veggies. I love this place including the staff, though would check ahead the veggie options in the restaurant if making a special journey to eat there. "
