"Breakfast was good not much selection though, but pastries are very good. The view to my room is spectacular. The room was very hot at midday and AC is not cooling enough that room is so warm at night."

The location is stunning, yet close to amenities and lots of different options for sightseeing, day trips etc. Rooms were a great size and well equipped. The staff were beautiful. I found them to be so warm and friendly and the perfect blend of checking on you and your needs but not having the feeling that they were stalking. Food and wines were fabulous! "Stunning location, photos don't do it justice. Very spacious accommodation. Make sure you brush up on your Italian before arriving as the staff don't speak English (and they shouldn't have to). There are activities and dinners you can reserve but make sure to do so at least a day in advance."

"The B&B was in a spectacular location on the side of a hill overlooking Val d’Orcia (valley), just outside the town of Montepulciano. We had truly spectacular vistas of the Tuscan countryside sipping cappuccinos sitting outside every morning for breakfast. Truly blissful. Francesco and Oksana were wonderful hosts and took care of everything. They are very warm and approachable. One note, make sure you have euros to pay taxes though as it may not be possible to do so with a card. If you don’t there are ATMs in the town (5 mins drive from the property) to get some. All in all, an absolutely wonderful place and our only regret is that we didn’t stay longer. Highly recommended!"

"I would rate this hotel and its staff ten out of five if there is such a rating! My husband and I stayed three nights and we had a most memorable experience! The grounds of the hotel is beautifully maintained, it is located on a hill overlooking the breath-taking Val d’Orcia. There is a beautiful infinity pool and many garden furniture for guests to sit and enjoy the million dollar view. Every staff member is a professional, even an artist, who excels in their work. The gardener works literally from sun rise to sun down to maintain an impeccable garden. We want to express our most sincere thanks to hotel manager Roberta who personally helped us with a difficult situation. My husband had lost an important travel document so we had to submit a new application. Roberta helped us look for and then print out all necessary PO paperwork in the most organized way. She also directed us to the best photo studio so my husband could get his ID photo taken. When time came for us to check out , we really didn’t want to leave. We will always this beautiful place and the beautiful people who work here to make Villa Ciconela a perfect little corner of heaven. "
