La Copa Inn Beach Hotel
8/10 Good
"Clean room. Friendly staff. Breakfast buffet was good. Drinks from the pool bar were expensive and I don't think my margarita had any alcohol. The pool was warm and was not refreshing. I liked that it was beach front and easy access to the beach. Parking may be limited during busy season."

The Royal Sonesta Houston Galleria
10/10 Excellent
"Consistently a great place to stay with very reasonable rates. I love the convenience of having the bar, coffee shop and restaurant there. Wish the restaurant were open later though! Some things are showing wear, but overall it’s upkept well."

Club Quarters Hotel Downtown, Houston
10/10 Excellent
"The staff was helpful and kind. The property does show its age at times but it is maintained and kept clean. The valet staff is always top notch and respectful. Today it was raining upon check out and the staff escorted myself and my things to my vehicle with an umbrella to keep everything dry."

Hilton Houston Plaza/Medical Center
10/10 Excellent
"This is an excellent hotel, great staff, rooms are excellent and close to local Red line tram and eateries in the Medical Center district"

Margaritaville Beach Resort South Padre Island
6/10 Okay
"The pool and staff were nice. Margaritaville no longer has access to the Sapphire gym. When my husband asked about it they just said they don’t have access anymore. Later on, we found out you can get vouchers to Shoreline Barbell Club in Port Isabel. That would have been helpful to know. The grounds are nice and clean; however, the cleanliness of the room was subpar. The counters were sticky and had cereal on it, the pantry was stinky, the trash can was disgusting, and the bathrooms needed some TLC as there was mold and buildup everywhere."

The San Luis Resort, Spa & Conference Center
10/10 Excellent
"I love the outdoor pool and the staff was awesome and amazing I can’t wait to get a chance to go again, probably the only place I will stay at"

Beachfront Palms Resort an Ascend Collection Hotel
10/10 Excellent
"Enjoyed our stay for the night here. Beds were comfortable and rooms were clean. Great location. Breakfast was amazing. We will be back."

DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel & Suites Houston by the Galleria
6/10 Okay
"Everything was pretty good. The cookies were my favorite part. Parking is not good/ priced per night. If you have 3/4 ppl together in different cars, take one car."

Gaido's Seaside Inn
10/10 Excellent
"Excellent hotel for the money. Location: Great. On the Seawall. Get the gulf view. Worth the extra. Breakfast: Very good for a guy. Eggs, sausage, biscuit and gravy plus the normal cold foods. Same thing every day. A heads up, no indoor seating and outdoor you’ll have sea gulls harassing you as expected. Staff: Helpful and friendly. Please tip the breakfast staff. They work hard and handle the crowded space well. Parking: Free and adequate. Room: Dated but clean and suitably maintained. Everything is cutely color coordinated. Pool: Outdoor. I didn’t use but looks as good as most hotels. Well suited for children, but also has attached full bar. Extra amenity: large area of AstroTurf and a place to shower off beach sand on backside of hotel. Interesting history: Take time to read about the Gaidos family online and the sign in the pleasantly maintained garden area. Clients: Families and older enjoying vacation at beach. Friendly, talkative and earthy. Outside: Their one failure is the outside maintenance. Wooden chairs missing slats, Doors stick. Building has rotten wood. Needs paint and repair. Glad we chose it and will again."
