You can hear the trains in certain parts of the hotel which is mentioned in the hotel description, we stay at the weekend so it wasn’t really an issue but during the week I would opt for a room at the other side of the hotel which is clear when booking a room. If in the area would stay again.”

“The Hotel is in a lovely location, right next to the River Thames. The Staff were very helpful, friendly and accommodating. The Room was lovely and clean with a great view of the River We stayed at the Hotel for two nights and had Dinner both nights. The Food was really nice and again, service was good. If I was being picky, it would’ve been nice to have had some complimentary Bottled Water in the Room on arrival. I would certainly stay here again and plan to do so in a few months time.”

“Superb hospitality here and the staff were extremely helpful. The bed was comfortable and it was quiet. For those travelling by train, it takes about 25-30mins to walk into the centre of Reading, but is only 10 mins by bus and these are frequent. I stayed here on a work trip. I would have liked a bath to relax into at the end of a long day, but I guess you can't have everything!”

“Beautiful building and interior. We came for our mini honeymoon and got ungraded. We had a congratulations note with chocolates in the room and rose petals scattered on a king size bed. Large room, large bathroom. Decent breakfast but quite minimalistic for £20/person. ”

“Great find for our visit to Newbury. Breakfast included, 4 options to choose from and served in the pub restaurant. Also ate there both nights, food and service excellent. Room had all you needed, large room plus walk in shower. ”
