“Room was adequate, the heated towel rail was on the other side of the bedroom wall so the bedroom was uncomfortably hot, even at night - but the wife preferred this. The bed was quite firm and a good size. It was difficult to view the TV screen from the settee on the back wall. Tea (Yorkshire) and coffees were plentiful - not so much biscuits. Full English, plus cereals, juice, toast and tea/coffee refills welcome.”

“Our stay was a journey down memory lane for me. The hotel was still lovely and popular, the room was clean and albeit small as a twin, it was in keeping with such a historic building and the lady on the bar, who checked us in couldn’t be more welcoming. The kitchen even catered amazingly for a veggie and a vegan option breakfast. “Awful property,don't book it. Paint peeling off on every ceiling. Wallpaper coming away from the wall in the main bedroom. Second bedroom is very small. We booked it as a couple, if 2 couples book it....good luck! Bedroom furniture is lacking to say the least for both rooms. Thankfully I always take a candle with me, take one,the property is far from fresh. All woodwork paint damaged. Bathroom needs replacing,the bath panel is not even attached to the wall.
