Captain Pips Marina & Hideaway

"My husband and I started coming here about a year and a half ago. We absolutely love it here. You are in the middle part of the keys so you can get to upper and lower keys and still have plenty of time to explore for the day. We have stayed at a couple other places however they do not compare to Captain Pips. It is very quiet there in the evenings with amazing views on the water. The maid Kira is so welcoming. Always has a smile on her face. Anything you need from towels to clean sheets she is happy to help! Staff is friendly, property is well maintained. I won’t stay anywhere else when going there. Prices are great too!!Great place to stay."

"Great location for Marathon. Near the main road but no audible road noises. Not the cheapest hotel for quality of the rooms but we were very satisfied. 1 hour drive from Key West and a few hours from Miami. We initially planned 2 nights before moving to another area but decided we were comfortable here and booked an extra 2 nights. We got to keep the same room too. Complimentary washing facilities which was very useful and appreciated. Breakfast was good for a continental breakfast. Disappointed that they used disposable cutlery, plates, bowls etc, had apples wrapped in plastic, plastic cups wrapped in plastic. Might be just the way things are done in the US but was very wasteful and not good for the environment. We had a spacious big room with 2 queen beds and a walk out balcony which we could access our car from as it was on the ground floor. Room needs a fresh coat of paint. Air con was working but the unit was a bit noisy! Pool was nice and quiet. Gym had good quality equipment."
