"The staff were excellent. They helped me move rooms. As soon as I asked for a hairdryer and tiolet paper, it was provided.
It is obvious that the facility needs updated. The carpet in the hallways and the rooms was worn and stained. My bathroom was supposted to be handicap acessible but the only accommadation was grab bars and a seat that I had to lift into the bathtub. The bathtub heigth was too high for someone with disabilites.
For some reason, the Convention Center had flying knats every day we were there.
The food was excellent along with the wait staff. There were not enough handicapped parking spaces and some were used by non-handicapped individuals. My friend uses a rolator walker and I use a cane. We were not able to park in a space."
"We had a couple of issues with the property, our door repeatedly got stuck and our cards got de-magnetized 3 times during our 3 day visit which was very frustrating. The elevator also moans, groans and shakes. But I will say the staff and the handyman were very kind and helpful throughout my whole stay. They are doing the very best they can with what they have and gave it their best and we appreciated that."
"We stayed here with 5 families in 5 different rooms and had a great experience overall. The rooms were very spacious, comfortable, and very clean and well maintained, with a fridge and microwave.
The heated pool was a hit with the kids, and the beautiful courtyard with the fire pit was a great place to hang out. The staff was very accommodating, especially when we asked them to relight the fire pit.
Breakfast had both hot and continental options, and the coffee station was always available. Great location as well. Our only complaint was the very low shower water pressure in our room, although the faucet pressure was fine.
Overall, a great place for a group stay and we would happily come back!"
"Hotel is newly renovated, both the rooms and lobby, halls, etc. Convenient location. The Mexican restaurant across the street had great food. Breakfast is only bagels, cereal and yogurt. But they had several toppings for the yogurt. Very good. Our only complaint is there seemed to be little sound proofing! The room above us, the ice machine… but we’d definitely stay here again!"
La Quinta Inn & Suites Summersville / New River National Park
10/10 Excellent
"The staff were absolutely amazing. The amenities were great. I used the gym and the hot tub which was very clean . I was very impressed by my room. The bed was very comfortable. Bathroom was clean. Rugs were clean. It all looked brand new. Everything was in order I have no complaints about anything. I would recommend anybody to stay there and next time I head out that way that’s exactly where I will be booking."
