“Booking was effortless through Expedia. We were greeted at the door by Pat, the owner. He gave us a quick tour and set a combo code to the front door of the house of our choosing. There is an open snack and coffee area, and "trail magic" shelf full of items that a hiker might need without a store nearby. The shared bathroom was WELL stocked. “I loved my stay at The 1850. It was super clean, the bed was comfortable, and there were some really sweet, personal touches. It's right downtown Boone so it's easy to walk to everything. Daniel and the Dog is a great little bar with delicious food too. The staff was responsive and parking was easy. I look forward to staying there again! ”

“Awful! Broken items in room, very dirty, nothing like advertised. We’ve stayed in many places and this is by far the worst. We were given some room that looked NOTHING like the photos in the picture. As a matter of fact, the photos belong to a place close by, but not where they put us. Pls beware. ”

“The picture of the property was misleading. I thought the building shown was where we would be staying. Instead we were across the building in a very old house. The room was smaller than our bedroom at home so we were cramped. The TV wasn’t working, 3 different people came to look at it but couldn’t get it fixed. Good side, the staff was extremely friendly, especially the lady that sets up the breakfast, which was delicious. ”
