I grew up in Northern California and was fortunate to live fairly close to Tahoe. Northstar is one of my favorite places. The view from the top on a nice sunny day is amazing. There is also a nice village at the bottom of the mountain with tons of shops and restaurants.

"The property was excellent. We stayed in a beautiful and very well maintained suite. Location was a short walk from the center of Northstar village. Also Highland ski gondola was about a 5 minute walk away, even with ski boots on, it gave us fairly easy access to the slopes and the Ritz Carlton restaurant."

"Loved our stay here. It was very peaceful and the reception staff were very friendly. They were great with communication and instructions. We got to our cottage after hours and it was a smooth check-in with the instructions emailed to us. The cottage is very comfy and spacious.It was about a 10 min drive to everything like downtown Truckee and it said 15/20 min to Palisades Tahoe but felt like less. "

"Overall, the condo was clean and generally well maintained, and the staff were friendly, helpful, and easy to deal with throughout our stay. The location was also convenient for accessing the mountain, which made getting out to ski each day straightforward. That said, the unit itself was quite small and felt a little dated in terms of decor and furnishings. While everything was functional, it could benefit from some modernization to make the space feel more comfortable. Unfortunately, the biggest issue during our stay was the presence of mice. Although the staff were responsive when we raised it, it was still something that negatively impacted the overall experience and ultimately affected the score I gave the property. In summary, it’s a clean place with helpful staff and a good location, but the small size, dated interior, and especially the mouse issue made the stay less enjoyable than it could have been."
