"Our second stay at the hotel, this time in the standard pitch view room- previous stay was in the penthouse room. View in the standard room was great, room modernised and clean. Downside was how bright the room was at night. Lights cultivating the pitch illuminated the room, the curtains did not cover the glow which made for a awful nights sleep. Our penthouse stay was much better, comfier bed/bedding, darker room with light creeping through the curtains. Breakfast on this occasion was also disappointing. We came down at 830am, no croissants or bagels, two different small fruit pastries that were undercooked and soggy. On the hot counter food had obviously sat on display for a while, hardly any mushrooms, hash browns were soggy, sausages were ok but the again eggs scrambled and fried had sat there for a while. The black pudding didn't look cooked, just dry and hard. The breakfast we had on our first visit was cooked to order, and was great. Sadly this visit disappointed food and comfort wise."

"Only cons were that most rooms did not have air conditioning. We are staying another night in a few days still and are selecting a room that has air conditioning."

"This hotel is a great place to stay. The beds were really comfy,pillows were lovely and soft not like bricks under my head. The food was great in the restaurant plenty of choice, you can watch sports or sit in the garden. The bar has a wide range of drinks and snacks and a pool table. I found the room decor very tasteful however I did have an issue with the shower no fault of the hotel just a stupid design which a lot of the hotels have. My reason for staying was a post operative one as I live down south so stayed for 8 nights until my post op appointment. Knowing I wouldn’t be able to have a full blown shower or bath I needed the hose to reach down low for hair washes and washes. The hose had that silly restrictior thing on it so it wouldn’t budge. Rachael, Emma and Beth tried to remove it to no avail so they very kindly moved us to another room, I cannot express how grateful I am to you all. I also want to thank Donna behind the bar for her kindness , lovely lady. There is a nice big car park to this hotel "

"Not used, I was unable to use the bar as there was a sporting event at the adjoining Rugby Club so the bar was too crowded."

"The room was very nice, clean and comfortable. Staff were all fabulous, from check in to restaurant and bar. The lady waiting on breakfast was especially great. The challenges were that the room was rather hot, and given the location on the main road, opening the window meant it was noisy. Noise was the main issue - from doors opening, floors creaking and especially from the person in the next room who had their tv on extremely loud until past 2am. "
