The staff were incredible, they took amazing care of us and made sure everything was perfect - from breakfast to recommendations to everything! They were so kind and helpful, best I’ve ever met and the sweetest people! The hot tub was cleaned daily and always hot. The view was unreal and felt like a movie. The rooms were large and comfortable, the views were spectacular, the pool was amazing, the size of the hotel made it very intimate, the food was awesome, and the staff made the whole experience feel over the top. Nicholas and Kostas were fun and professional. They made us feel like very valued guests. The other staff (I didn't catch their names) were always helpful and friendly. I would go back in a minute. With all of that said, be aware that there are a LOT of steps. If you are in good shape, yet still have some limitations, be sure to communicate with the hotel in advance. Some rooms are better than others for accessibility."

"We stayed two nights at Calilo and I honestly don’t even know where to start. This place is stunning. From the moment you walk in, you’re surrounded by crystal-clear water, golden sand, and these incredible cliffs — it’s like a dream. We learned while we were there that it took 20 years to build Calilo, and you can feel it in every detail. The whole property is full of artwork, hand-carved stone, and beautiful mosaics. It’s not just a hotel – it feels like you’re staying inside a gallery blended perfectly with nature. We travel quite frequently and this is arguably the most beautiful hotel we have ever stayed at. We received a complimentary room upgrade and loved it! It had a ‘pond’, which was really a private pool and a terrace overlooking the beach. Just gorgeous! The staff deserves a huge shoutout. Every single person we met was friendly, genuine, and went out of their way to make sure we were happy. From little surprises in the room to great tips about the island, it felt like they really cared about our experience. The bar manager and tender went above and beyond - even blending fresh mango just for our drinks! Calilo isn’t just a place to stay — it’s an experience. We left feeling completely refreshed and already planning when we can come back. If you’re thinking about it, book it. You will not regret it. We will definitely stay for longer next time!"
