“A bit far walking from the shopping area. But there’s a restaurant and a convenience store about 5 mins walking. Also really quiet and safe neighborhood. Hot water works well. A/c was okay. ”

“We had an amazing experience staying here. It was close to the shuttle bus, market, restaurants. Having a kitchen made it easier to pack food for next day. Our host was very very helpful! She suggested local restaurant to try and helped us to find a last minute replacement tour early morning as our got cancelled late at night! We were able to leave our luggages there while we went to a half day tour, even after check out time. I highly recommend staying here! ”

“I'm very happy we stayed here. Simple. Sweet. We did not use the AC and left the windows open for air. It was a little noisy at night, but not the fault of the hotel. Ezra made us really delicious breakfasts for us each morning. Staff were all very kind. ”

“Our whole time here was fantastic. Having them organize our transportation and tours was such a huge benefit. The property is lovely, especially the cabin we stayed in. The view across the valley is stunning. We especially loved the hammock in the screened in porch. Very relaxing!”

“Parking on site was a big plus and location was as central as it gets. The room could have been cleaner and the shower head leaked water spraying the toilet area. The price was affordable for area but a little more attention to details would have a gone a long way.”

“Maybe spend a few minutes at check-in to give the guest all the info they need. After signing the reservation form, I was given a key and my room was pointed out me. No other info was given. Front Desk agent was in a hurry to leave the building. No WiFi info, location of resort amenities, or other property info was shared. We walked around to find the pool and discovered it was dirty with a bunch leaves and other debris. I learned about the walking trails after my departure from someone else....

“I adore Edwin and his family. They took very good care of this solo woman traveler. He feed me very well!! The atmosphere was very authentic to how the locals live in the jungle. It is rustic. Shower did not have hot water.. I did have the room with a.c. Very nice. I will for sure go here again.”

“We had an absolutely amazing stay. Dominic and his family are welcoming, informative, and gracious. The land around the lodge is stunning, with views of Xunantunich in the distance. Iguanas, toucans, green parrots, and frogs are all living on the property. The breakfasts every morning are authentic Belizean, and delicious! The rooms are clean, and comfortable. ”

“Calico Jacks is a bit outside San Ignacio so you definitely need a vehicle but the room was really cleaned and comfortable. I stayed for only one night so I haven’t used the pool or tried the zipline but the food at the restaurant onsite and the staff were amazing. Julio was my server and my guide the morning after to visit Barton Creek’s caves and he made sure I had a wonderful time.”

“We had hoped this place would be more like a jungle lodge but it really was more of a rural neighborhood house on the main thoroughfare. The family cabin seemed a lot more like a blah Airbnb. Wasn't too clean but wasn't disgustingly dirty. Just didn't feel like it was worth the amount we paid or really worth it at all. You could not walk to monkey falls from there. To go anywhere you would need a car, which we had, fortunately. The front door didn't have any bolt. And the A/C only worked in the...

“The place was extremely clean. It had a nice small kitchen area and nice refrigerator. The owner was super professional and informative. The facility has a Belizian car you can rent which you'll need because the attractions are not too close. The place is nicely tucked away off the main road going into town.”
