"Great stay! The staff was very friendly! The hotel was in a great spot next to the ferry. We had a great stay. Much thanks to the girl a the front desk who helped us find a fabulous tour guide. "

"It is an old property and has been maintained somewhat unfortunately both the Bar and the Restaurant were closed we also had a hard time checking in as there was no one on the property just a note with phone numbers to call. I did eventually get a hold of someone and they appeared about ten minutes later. The little beach besides the hotel is quite popular with the locals who play with there kids, walk there dogs and go swimming there, note also that it is only accessible when the tide is out as the stairs leading to it are underwater when the tide is in. Note also there is no parking at the hotel and only six public spaces for Parking close by."

"Old property but really well updated. Almost empty for my stay at very start of season so my single room on 2nd floor was quiet. Room clean and comfortable. New ensuite with walk in shower 10/10. Breakfast continental or pay extra for cooked. Parking easy ( you really need a car) and Scalloway very well placed for touring. Hotel closed for food in evening whilst I was there and not much else locally but really enjoyed my stay and would definitely use again."

"I was on the top floor, which meant a lot of stairs, but the reward was a great sea view. Room was quiet, clean and comfortable. Nigel, the owner, was lovely and the "serve youself anytime" continental style breakfast (with home-made cakes!) was a great idea. I'd be happy to stay again."

"The whole experience was wonderful. Great hosts, really nice room and view and perfectly positioned for town. Breakfasts were a triumph and hospitality from Ryan was second to none. We really enjoyed our stay here and it made Shetland a really enjoyable experience for us."
