"Very cute little motel just feet away from the entrance to Mt Rainier NP. We were there in early May so it wasn’t busy at all but the room was comfortable and clean, well updated and we enjoyed sitting on the porch in the evening relaxing. Beds were very comfortable and we both got a good nights sleep! Highly recommend the place."
"We stayed in one of the small cabins. It surpassed our expectations. It was so cute, cozy, comfortable and clean! Every evening we would sit outside and enjoy the beautiful landscape.
The bed was wonderful and we got great sleep and the coffee maker helped us start the day. I would go back in a heartbeat and I highly recommend this property to anyone who wants a sweet haven to come home to after a day of hiking."
"Fun find - perfect for hikers. We enjoyed the food and live music next door but wished the band had played longer into the evening. Our cabin was small with two twins and a bathroom. Not much room to move around but served its purpose. Only complaint is that the walls are thin and you could hear people walking around and talking upstairs. Fortunately, most people were just as exhausted from hiking and crashed early."
Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Puyallup (Tacoma Area) by IHG
8/10 Good
"The front desk staff were wonderful. They made it very clear that they were there to help you in any way they could. Even if your problem was completely unrelated to the hotel, if they knew or heard about it, they would do their best to come up with a solution and often did.
The icing on the cake was that they were at that front desk 24 hours, 7 days a week!
Although the food at breakfast was plentiful and varied, it was definitely not a good culinary experience. The quality of the food was good, but the entrees were exceedingly bland and left much to be desired.
Nevertheless, the breakfast staff did an excellent job of keeping everything clean, refreshed, and filled.
Our daily breakfast lady made sure we all knew that she was happy to be there at our beck and call. Unfortunately, I cannot remember her name but she was middle-aged with blonde hair and there every weekday morning. She was a class act and could probably manage whole building with a smile!"
