"The owner and host was very accommodating and pleasant. Even though some details of the common areas could need a bit love and care the room was quite cosy and of good standard. We didn't have a chance to explore the restaurant and evening meny but it seems to be a top notch experience. Breakfast was plentyfull with a large variety of items. "Viktigast av allt när man bor på hotell och pensionat är givetvis att det går att sova. Rummet "Phoenix" har en allmän uteplats/terrass precis utanför där andra gäster kan äta skilda måltider. All konversation hörs rakt in i rummet. Utöver detta, är ovanvåningen också hotellrum och maken till lyhört har vi aldrig varit med om. Varje steg, ord och spolande toa hördes tydligt. Två nätter utan ordentlig sömn. Tredje natten fick vi byta rum och kunde sova. Tack och det för upp betyget från 1 till 2."

"Fantastic location and stunning decor!!! The spa was amazing, their relaxation room and the view there is a must see! All the staff was very pleasant and helpful. The grounds are well kept with lots of spaces to relax, sit down and enjoy the view. Lots to do/occupy your time. All in all, great getaway, worth the money! I would definitely return for a longer stay (also don't forget to go into the Ystad city center! it's charming!)."

"4 star price, 3 star standard I stayed in a single room for one night. Entrance and staircases: amazingly beautiful. Room overall: clean and looks ok although very standard and quite boring interior. Big window with light-blocking curtains. No safe, kettle, coffee or tea in the room. No closet, but a drawer that I don't believe anyone uses except for putting their purse and phone on top of. Bed: good mattress, two pillows. No extra pillow or blanket in the room. Bathroom: clean and functional except for the shower where only the overhead rain shower works. The hand-held shower is blocked (twist the on/off handle one way - the overhead shower starts, but it's not possible to turn the handle the other way. Overhead shower never gives plus points since half the population does not want to wet their hair every time they shower. No hairdryer. Staff: friendly and helpful. Wifi: low/medium. You get a much better online experience via mobile network. Breakfast: the hotel is strict about booking your breakfast slot. The number of choices were 3 star, the quality of what was served was 4 star. Final verdict: although I enjoyed my stay, I don't feel that I really got my money's worth. If I come back to Ystad I will choose another hotel."

"for sure not a “luxury” stay, but the place is super well maintained and an excellent price! it’s a ten minute walk to a bus that will take you straight to Hyllie and then you can hop on the train station and go wherever you’d like! I will say during the evening hours the bus only runs once an hour back from Hyllie to the stay, so some intentional planning of logistics would help you get to and from more easily. The staff provided instructions of how to get all of the things I needed to use, I never once needed to ask for anything, the grounds are well kept! The only main “con” is that the walls and doors are very thin so every time someone enters or exits you can hear them very loudly going through the hallway. Guests during our stay were generally mindful of this though and respected other guests by trying to keep quiet especially later during the evenings. If you are looking to travel to sweden on a budget, you should absolutely consider this place!"
