"The Staff were very welcoming and friendly and super helpful. Offering help with destinations, places to eat, directions My daughter was really ill with a heavy cold one night so I asked for specific room service and they were brilliant. Hotel is in perfect position Super quiet and central to everything"

"The location is amazing - less than 3 minutes from St. Marks Square. The hotel overlooks the canal and is surrounded by restaurants and cafes. My room size was fine and it felt quaint and Venetian. It had very amenity I needed. The breakfast was excellent and all staff very friendly. I appreciated being given a cappuccino when I was working in the lobby / bar area one morning. There are also some areas on each floor to utilise if needed. I travel to Venice regularly so do hope to stay here again. "

"The Splendid Venice was in a perfect location to sightsee, so near Rialto and San Marco. The staff were very friendly and overall the hotel was warm and inviting, with lovely seating areas and a bar to relax in after a tiring day viewing the attractions. I would definitely recommend this hotel. "

Palazzo San Luca

2/10 Terrible

"Hotel manager and some staff were rude & extremely unpleasant to the point of boorish. Room way up in the 5th floor attic, with no elevator and ceilings so low we couldn’t stand up straight. Kept hitting our heads on ceiling beams (and we are both petite women! - can’t imagine for a man). Bathroom was miniscule and our last 2 days of 3 we had NO hot water at all. Never got any room service, ever. Cleanliness was an issue with stains on bedding, headboard, walls and crud on the carpet. Found old contact lenses on the floor and paint cans in the corners. Lighting was very poor. Would NEVER stay here again. Suggest you stay away, plenty of other better accommodations in Venice. "

"I had the most fabulous stay at Hotel Rialto. I had a magnificent view of the Grand Canal and Rialto Bridge. In addition, the staff were really helpful and kind and the breakfast was terrific. It was great to be so close to the Rialto Markets and a waterbus stop. It meant I could come and go easily during each day of my visit. "
